...but just the interesting bits
GOSH! It's been a while since I've had anything new to post. And since then I can even begin to count all of the things I've learned! Needles to say, upgrading from an 80mm refractor to a 8" SCT has seen it's fair share of challenges, but I *think* I've nailed most of them down. BIG THANKS to
@starpointaustralis for help with collimation and general advice; and
@siriusskiesastro who helped out with some power distribution issues I was having and was kind enough to offer his new pixel math expressions used for this image.
Here's my first 'true' image using my new
@celestronuniverse Edge HD 8" - The Rosette Nebula.
I wanted to focus on the dust lanes that I've always found more interesting than the whole whole nebula, and it's a perfect match for the new scope.
